Cheonmyeongdang (hereinafter "the Company") values users' personal data and complies with the Personal Information Protection Act.

1. Personal Data We Collect

The Company may collect the following personal data to provide the service.

Saju analysis: date of birth, gender (only when provided by the user; not stored on server)
Face/Palm reading analysis: photo (deleted immediately after analysis; not transmitted to server)
Upon payment: name, contact number, email (for payment processing purposes)
Customer inquiries: name, contact number, email, inquiry content

2. Purposes of Collecting and Using Personal Data

Providing fortune-telling services such as Saju, face reading, and palm reading
Processing payments for paid services
Responding to customer inquiries
Service improvement and statistical analysis (processed as non-identifiable)

3. Retention and Use Period of Personal Data

The Company destroys personal data without delay once the purpose of collection and use has been achieved.

Saju/face reading/palm reading input data: not retained after immediate analysis (client-side processing)
Payment information: retained for 5 years under the Electronic Commerce Act
Customer inquiries: retained for 1 year after completion of response

4. Disclosure of Personal Data to Third Parties

The Company does not provide personal data to third parties without the user's consent. However, exceptions apply when required by law.

4-1. Entrustment of Personal Data Processing

The Company entrusts personal data processing tasks to external specialized companies for smooth service provision. In entrustment contracts, necessary provisions are established in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act to ensure that personal data is managed safely.

5. Procedure and Method of Destroying Personal Data

Electronic files: permanently deleted using an unrecoverable method
Paper documents: shredded using a document shredder

6. User Rights

Users may request access, correction, or deletion of their personal data at any time.

7. Advertising Information and Cookies

The Company may display advertisements through Google AdMob, and in this process advertising identifiers may be collected. Users can limit advertising tracking in device settings.

8. Refund Policy and Cooling-off Period

In accordance with Article 17 of the Electronic Commerce Act, users may request a refund under the following conditions:

General refund (digital content not yet provided): 100% refund if the content has not been downloaded or viewed within 7 days of the payment date.
General refund (digital content already provided): Refunds are limited after downloading or viewing digital content due to its nature (Article 17, Paragraph 2, Item 5 of the Electronic Commerce Act). However, a refund may be requested within 14 days if the content differs from what was advertised.
Subscription service (monthly membership, etc.): If cancelled before the next billing date, billing stops from the following month. The already-billed month is not eligible for prorated refund (except: unconditional 100% refund within 24 hours of first payment).
Offline meeting/consultation service: 100% refund if cancelled 24 hours before the meeting, 50% refund if cancelled within 24 hours, 0% for no-shows.
Bundle/Package (Mega Bundle, Lifetime, etc.): 100% refund if requested within 14 days of purchase and download/streaming usage is less than 50%.

How to request a refund: Send an email to [email protected] from the email used for payment, including the order number and reason for refund. We will respond within 3 business days and process the refund within 7 days.

9. Dispute Resolution

Disputes related to the use of this service may be resolved free of charge through mediation via the Korea Consumer Agency (1372) or the Electronic Commerce Dispute Mediation Committee (ecmc.or.kr). If mediation does not resolve the dispute, the Seoul Central District Court shall be the court of first jurisdiction.

10. Notice of New App Additions

When new Cheonmyeongdang apps (insurance/tax/subsidies, etc.) are launched, a separate privacy policy will be published as an appendix, applying the same level of protection as this policy.

If this privacy policy is modified, the changes will be notified through the notice board within the service.
