Privacy Policy

Cheonmyeongdang (hereinafter "the Company") values the personal data of its users and complies with the Personal Information Protection Act.

The Company may collect the following personal data in order to provide the Service.

The Company does not provide personal data to third parties without the user's consent. Exceptions apply where disclosure is required by law.

4-1. Outsourcing of personal data processing

To provide the Service smoothly, the Company outsources personal data processing tasks to specialist external providers as set out below. In the outsourcing contracts, the matters required by the Personal Information Protection Act are stipulated so that personal data is managed securely.

4-2. Cross-border transfer of personal data

To generate AI readings, the Company transfers personal data outside the Republic of Korea as set out below (Article 28-8 of the Personal Information Protection Act).

In addition, for web hosting and CDN services (Cloudflare Inc., United States) and analytics (Google LLC, United States), access logs may be stored on those providers' facilities outside Korea while the Service is delivered.

4-3. Personal data of children under the age of 14

The Company does not collect personal data from children under the age of 14. A child under 14 needs the consent of a legal guardian in order to use the Service, and if the Company becomes aware that a user is under 14 it destroys that data without delay. A legal guardian may request access to, correction of, or deletion of a child's personal data (Article 22-2 of the Personal Information Protection Act).

Users may at any time request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data.

7. Advertising information and cookies

On 31 July 2026 the Company removed the advertising script (Google AdSense) and the session recording tool (Microsoft Clarity) from the website. The only analytics tool now used on the website is Google Analytics 4, which collects usage records to the extent needed to improve the Service, such as page views and whether a checkout step was reached. You can refuse cookie storage in your browser settings; doing so places no restriction on your use of the Service. In the mobile app, Google AdMob advertising identifiers may be collected, and you can reset them or turn off personalised advertising in your device settings.

The full policy is set out on the Refund Policy page; this section summarises it. In the event of any discrepancy, the Refund Policy page prevails.

How to request a refund: email [email protected] from the address used for the payment, with your order number and the reason. We reply within 3 business days and process the refund within 7 days.

9. Dispute resolution

Disputes relating to the use of this Service may be settled free of charge through mediation by the Korea Consumer Agency (1372) or the Electronic Commerce Mediation Committee (ecmc.or.kr). If mediation does not resolve the dispute, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Company shall be the court of first instance, in line with the Terms of Service.

Consumers domiciled in the EU: the sentence above does not apply to you. Under Articles 17 to 19 of Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012 (Brussels Ia) you may bring proceedings in the courts of the Member State in which you are domiciled, and you may only be sued in those courts. Nothing in this policy deprives you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.

When new Cheonmyeongdang applications (insurance / tax / subsidy and similar) are launched, a separate privacy policy will be published as an appendix, applying the same level of protection as this policy.
